Our programs are discontinued for the summer to allow families and individuals
to move at a slower pace, but that doesn’t mean that things have slowed down any
at St. Luke’s!
Welcome to Fellowship Café! Anyone who has attended our Coffee Hour has noticed
the overcrowding of late. To fix that, chair lift is being installed to provide
access to our upper Parish Hall. Upon completion, our new and improved coffee
hour will be held in our beautiful and larger facility. Someone pointed out
recently that no one has to stay an hour after our service, and we don’t serve
just coffee, so we have decided to rename this time for what it’s really all
about. Fellowship Café is held after each service throughout the year.
Get ready for Luke’s Landing! Our lower hall is being turned into Luke’s
Landing, a creatively inspired meeting and learning space for our children and
youth ministry. Modeled after a boathouse on Catskill Creek, kids and youth can
learn about God’s love and care in a fun environment made just for them.
God’s love is a Sheltering Tree. Named after the mural painted by our own church
artists, our nursery will be ready in the fall to provide a safe and cheerful
place for infants and toddlers.
Fall is just around the corner. We have many exciting programs planned for fall,
starting in mid September. Our Christian Ed. program will move to 9 am to
accommodate programs for kids, youth and adults.
Our toddler program at The Sheltering Tree will feature craft pages that can be
bound into a scrapbook. Luke’s Landing is gearing up with a dynamic interactive
program for kids, and we will add a youth component this year. Our adult ed.
program will comprise a humorous but thought-provoking Bible Study called
Introducing God. Plans are also in the works for a one-day women’s ministry
retreat focusing on every woman’s favorite food. We hope women and their
daughters and friends will join us for Chocolate Boutique.
